The committee on the Resolve authorizing the Land Agent to convey certain lands, reported that the same ought not to pass and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill - additional to an Act to establish a Registry of Deeds for the Western District of Lincoln County, came from the Senate, that body refusing to adopt the amendments proposed by the House – and the House so far reconsidered their vote adopting said amendments as to pass the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
Report on the petition of Joseph Nicholas & al, that it is inexpedient to Legislate upon the subject, was read and accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
The order of the two Houses fixing the time when the pay Rolls of the House & Senate shall be made up, was so amended by the House in concurrence with the Senate as to provide that they should be made up, so as to include tomorrow.
Resolve making further provision respecting the State Road from Sunkhaze to Mattawamkeag river, came from the Senate, that body adhering to their vote refusing the same a passage. The House insist upon their vote passing the same, and appoint as Conferees on their part Messrs Bent of Bangor, Bourne of Kennebunk and Hutchinson of Hartford. Sent up for concurrence
The Committee on engrossed bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve – authorizing the Treasurer of this State, to make a temporary loan - - relating to the erection of a National observatory - - imposing a tax on the several counties which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
