The Committee then rose and the Chairman reported to the House that the Committee of the whole House had voted that the Resolve ought to pass as amended by striking out at B the word one thousand & inserting in lieu thereof three hundred and by striking out at C the word five & inserting instead thereof the word three" - and the House assigned tomorrow at 10 o'clock to consider the subject.

Messsrs. Powers of Sandford & Snow of Frankfort have leave of absence after tomorrow during the remainder of the session.

Bill to authorize George F. Richardson exclusively to navigate the Androscoggin River with horse boats, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Samuel Fessenden & als for a Bankrupt law was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Andrew Roberts that he may be allowed to take the name of Andrew Jackson Roberts, was read & referred to the committee on change of names.

The report of the Committee made to the House on the 2d inst. in relation to the time when the Legislature may have a recess, was taken up on motion of Mr. Shaw of Wiscasset and accepted. Sent up for concurrence. Adjourned. Attest James L. Child Clerk.
