Thursday March 11th 1830 Met according to adjournment. On motion of Mr. Mann of Gorham, Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of establishing by law the fees of Pound Keepers - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Resolve, further providing for erecting & completing the Public Buildings,
- laying a Tax on the several Counties in this State which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
The same committee reported as duly engrossed Bill additional act regulating Judicial Process & proceedings - which was finally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill to prevent the filling up & obstruction of Schoodic River, was read 1st & 2d time & amended & assigned for a 3d reading on Friday next at 10 o'clock.
Bill establishing the fees for culling & packing Mackerel, reported in a new draft which was adopted, was read 1 third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill relating to the Salmon, Shad & alewive fishery in the river Kennebec, was called up & referred to Messrs. Norton of Canaan, Clark of Hallowell & McKown of Boothbay.
The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed, Resolve, an additional Resolve for opening & clearing a road from township number two Old Indian purchase, on the east side of Penobscot River to Mettanawcook Stream - which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
