Friday March 12th 1830

Met according to adjournment. Report on the petition of the Town of Cape Elizabeth, referring the same to the committee to be appointed on the State valuation was read & accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the order of 4th March as to apportioning on the towns of Pittsfield and Poland the sum which the plantation of Thompson Pond, directing the Committee on Finance to add to the same heretofore assessed on the town of Otisfield four dollars & eighty three cents & to the town of Poland nineteen dollars & thirty three cents, was read & accepted.

Bond of Elias Thomas Esq Treasurer of State came from the Senate referred to Messrs. Dunlap & Kingsbury with such as the House may join for concurrence - and the House concurred and Messrs. Swan of Portland, White of Monmouth & Charles of Fryeburg were joined.

Bill to apportion and assess on the inhabitants of this State a tax of fifty thousand dollars, was read 1st & 2d time & amended & this afternoon at three o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill to incorporate the Vassalboro Hemp Manufacturing Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate
