Bill requiring a bond from the Secretary of State, was read 1st & 2nd time and this afternoon at 3 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

Resolve in favor of John G Deane, reported with amendments which were adopted, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the town of Argyle, came from the Senate, that body adhering to their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed - The House insist on their former votes indefinitely postponing the Bill, propose a conference, and appoint as Conferees on the part of the House, Messrs Clark of Hallowell, Bourne of Kennebunk & Nortan of Canaan.

Resolve for the payment of Accounts against the State, came down amended for concurrence - The House adopted the amendments of the Senate, further amended the Resolve & passed the same to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill regulating the fishery in the Kennebec River near the mouth of the seven mile brook in the town of Vassalboro, came down, the Senate declining a Conference and referring the same to the next Legislature for concurrence and the House concurred.
