[Report on Petition] Mr. Whitney from the committee on the petition of Hosea Rich and als. reported that they ought to be discharged from any further consideration of the subject, and that the same to be referred to a select committee.- and they were accordingly discharged.-

[Resolve] Resolve in favor of the Penobscot Indians was read once and committed to Messrs Dennett, Campbell and Wilkins.-

[Petition referred] The Senate reconsider their vote by which they accepted the report of the committee on the petition of John Frost 2d and als. and recommit the subject to the committee on Parishes &c.- sent down for concurrence.- concurred.-

[Message for Bill] A message was then sent to the House requesting them to send up the Bill additional to an act regulating the Herring fishery.-

[Bill] Mr. Wheeler from the committee on an order upon that subject, reported a Bill additional to the act prescribing the mode of taking depositions : Read once and committed, and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

[reconsideration of vote] The Senate reconsider their vote by which they passed to be engrossed the Bill additional to an act to regulate the Herring fishery, and commit the same to Messr McCobb, Fairbanks and Miller.-
