were counted, and that sixteen Senators were elected, & that there were three vacancies in the District of York - and whereas it appears by a Report made by a Committee appointed by the Senate to report on the election of Senators, and the proceedings of that body on the same, as appears by their Journal, that sixteen Senators have been elected by the people, and that three vacancies exist in the District of York - and where as it appears by the Records of the Governor and Council, and the proceedings of the Senate above referred to, that the Constitutional Candidates in said District to supply the deficiencies in the same are John Bodwell, Abijah Usher Junr, Nathan D Appleton, Benjamin Pike, Moses Sweat, & James Goodwin and that they are to Constitional Candidates for said District, to supply the deficiencies in the same, Therefore, Resolved, That this Convention now proceed to elect by joint ballot three Senators from the six Candidates above named to fill the vacancies in the District of York - and & passed
