State of Maine.

To all persons to whom these presents shall come,

Greeting:

Whereas, before our Court of Common Pleas, begun and holden at Norridgewock, within and for our County of Somerset, on the first Tuesday of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty four, Patrick McGuire, late resident of Norridgewock, in our said County of Somerset, laborer, was convicted of the crime of breaking and entering a Store, and committing Larceny therein; and thereupon by our said Court was sentenced to be punished by solitary imprisonment for the term of thirty days, and afterwards by confinement to hard labor for the term of two years, in and within the precincts of the State Prison in Thomaston in the County of Lincoln, a part of which sentence yet remains to be executed; and he the said Patrick McGuire has humbly supplicated Us for mercy:

Now Know Ye, That upon full consideration of the premises, We do hereby remit to him the said Patrick McGuire, that part of the punishment aforesaid that may remain to be executed, after the seventeenth day of December next: of which all our Judges, Justices, Magistrates, and Officers of every denomination are to take notice.
