To all who shall see these presents,

Greeting:

Know Ye, that James W. Ripley, of Fryeburg, in the County of Oxford, Esquire, on the twenty seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty six, was chosen by the People of this State, legally qualified therefor, a Representative, to represent them in the Nineteenth Congress of the United States of America, in the place of the Honorable Enoch Lincoln, resigned, at the times and places, and in the manner of holding elections, prescribed by our Legislature, agreeably to the powers therein vested by the Constitution of the United States.

In testimony whereof I have caused the seal of the State to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand, at Portland, the twelfth day of December, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty six; and in the fifty first year of the Independence of the United States of America.
