�To His Highness the Governor of the State of Maine and Commander in Chief. We the undersigned having been informed through the [?] of our public prints, that the State of Georgia have as a Body, arraigned Capt. Daniel Philbrook, before their Tribunal, and by [?] false wittnesses, have found him guilty of the crime of Slave Stealing. Your Excellency is perfectly aware that no measures however [?] would naturally be resorted too, to accomplish their purpose by the [?] Brain, of a slave holding [?], who being incensed with what they consider an infringement upon their rights-Secured to them (as they say) by the constitution of the United States. Our Opinion is, that Capt.
