Bill - to incorporate the town of Wellington, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of the town of Pittsfield, was read once & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a second reading.

Report on the petition of Arthur McLellan & al. - on the order respecting Salaries of the Registers of Deeds - - on the petition of Cyprian Cole & others, Selectmen of Greenwood referring the subjects thereof to the next Legislature, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence, and the House concurred.

Bill - making provisions concerning the Militia was read a 1st & 2d time, amended and then refused a third reading. Sent up for concurrence

Petition of Charles & Jeremiah Lyons & als of Hodgdon plantation to be incorporated as a town, was read ordered to be published in the Eastern Argus & Eastern Republican four weeks successively the last publication to be thirty days at least before the first Wednesday of the next Legislature & Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Secretary of State be authorized to loan to the Directors of the Dameriscotta [Damariscotta] Canal Corporation one of the sets of Stricklands Reports on Canals, Rail ways &c which are deposited in his office, subject to the disposition of the Legislature - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Students in Bowdoin College, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence - and the House assigned the fifteenth day of March next to consider the subject

Bill - in addition to an act to regulate the Manufacture and Inspection of Stone Lime & Lime Casks, was read a 1st & 2d time
