104 [Order respecting Plantations supporting their poor] On motion by Mr. Kingsbury, Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of amending the law relating to the liabilities of Plantations to support their poor with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence. [Order respecting Greenleaf's Reports] On motion by Mr. Emerson, Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of passing a Resolve providing for the purchase and distribution of Greenleaf's Reports. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred. [Thos. Cunningham & als Petition referred] Report on Petition of Thomas Cunningham and others granting reference to the next Legislature accepted & sent down for concurrence came up and the Senate adhere to their former vote. Sent down. [Jere Paul & als Petition] Mr. Gardner from the Committee on Incorporation of Towns reported a reference to the next Legislature on the Petition of Jeremiah Paul & al and [Pet:Jos. Stanley] " an order of notice on the petition of Joseph Stanley & al. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. [Bill in favor of Zadoc Bishop & others] Mr. Kingsbury from the Committee to whom was referred the petition of Zadock Bishop & others reported Bill in favor of Zadock Bishop & 18 others which was read once and tomorrow 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.
