43 The order relating to the appointment of the appointment of Commissioners in the States of Massachusetts & New Hampshire came from the Senate amended for concurrence and the House receded home their former votes on this subject nonconcurred with the Senate and accepted the same as taken into a new draft - sent up for concurrence

On motion of Mr Russell Ordered that the Committee on Agriculture be directed to inquire into the expediency of so altering or amending the law respecting stray beasts that the same shall be liable to be taken up at all times of year sent up for concurrence

Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be requested it consider the expediency of altering the law respecting the sale of beasts impounded so that some other persons besides the constables of town may be authorized to sell in certain cases Sent up for concurrence

A communication was received from the late Treasurer of State Elias Thomas Esq accompanied by his annual report which was read and sent up and came from the Senate referred to Messrs Fuller & Hutchins of the Senate with such as the House may join and the House concurred and joined Messrs Harris of Portland, Williams of Augusta, and Perkins of Kennebunk Port
