28 Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of repealing or defining an at entitled an act additional to an act giving remedies to Equity. Sent up for concurrence. Ordered that the petition of the Inhabitants of Fryeburg Academy Grant Plantation & papers relative to be taken from the files & referred to the committee on Incorporation of towns - sent up for concurrence. Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files the Petition of the Selectmen of Kennebunkport - also the petition of the Selectmen of Whitefield & accompanying papers & send the same to this House. On motion of Mr. Holden of Brunswick - Ordered that the Committee n Literary Institutions be required to report on the expediency of passing an additional act making it the duty of the Governor & Council to fill such vacancies as may from time to time occur in either of the two boards of Bowdoin College - & also that they report on the expediency of making it the duty of the Governor & Council annually to appoint a committee to unite with the visiting committee annually chosen by the two boards & annually to report to the Executive of the State the situation of the prosperity, income, discipline &c of said Colleges - sent up for concurrence. Ordered that the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire if any & if any what alterations are necessary in the act resulting bail in civil actions - Sent up for concurrence.

Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law that all officers who are tried by Courts Martial & found guilty shall be liable to cost. Sent up for concurrence.
