124. Ordered that Messrs Ames of Bath, Adams of Portland & Davis of Augusta with such as the Senate may join be a committee to ascertain what business yet remains, on which it is necessary for the Legislature to act the present session & when a recess thereof may be had, with leave to report accordingly - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence

Bill - authorizing a Toll Bridge on Fryburg Canal, was read 1st & 2nd time & ordered to lie on the table.

Report on the petition of John McLean & others, granting an order of notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

The Committee on engrossed bills, reported as duly engrossed Bill - to incorporate the Portland, Saco & Parsonsfield Stage Company- - an additional act respecting the Maine Wesleyan Seminary- - to change the name of the town of Montgomery - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of the town of Calais reported in a new draft which was adopted, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.

Bill - an act additional to an act establishing the times of holding the Supreme Judicial Court within this State, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Petition of Allen Gilman for a grant of certain lands on condition by him[?] stated was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.
