Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the Bill - additional act for securing to owners their property in logs, masts, spars & other timber in certain cases - read & passed. Sent up.

Bill - providing for the appointment of Sheriffs in the several counties, and defining their general powers & duties, laid on the table by Mr McCobb, was referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Thomas Kendall & others, granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Report on the Bill additional to an act to establish the Kennebec & Androscoggin Canal Association, granting an order of notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of Henry W Fuller & others, taken from the last years files of the Senate, came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Remonstrance of George Roberts & als against a division of the town of Mount Desert, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.
