191 and Bill to incorporate the Thomaston Mutual Fire Insurance Company came up severally amended for concurrence + the Senate concurred. [Bill - Thomaston M. Fire.Ins. Com.]

Resolve in favor of the town of Pittsfield came from the House referred to the next Legislature for concurrence and the Senate concurred. [Resolve - Town of Pittsfield]

Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote came from the House indefinitely postponed for concurrence and the Senate adhere to their former vote passing this resolve to be engrossed. Sent down. [Resolve in favor of Erastus Foote]

Bill providing for the promotion of education came up amended and the Senate adopted the amendments proposed. [Bill promotion of education] Mr. Williams moved the indefinite postponement of the bill which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays as follows Yeas Messrs. Mace, Kavanagh, Richardson, Herrick, Williams, Weston & Parsons 7 Nays Messrs Dennett, Sweat, Emery, Megquier, Miller, Shaw, Balkam, Cutler, Cushman, Washburn, and Grover 11 [Yeas + Nays] The Bill was then passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Mr. Weston from the Committee on Engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied viz. Bill additional to exempt certain goods and chattels from attachment, execution and distress, [Bill - attachment] " to prevent the destruction of fish in the Cobscook river in the town of Whiting [" Fish Cobscook R.] " to incorporate the York Chapter of Royal Arch Masons and [right] " Y.C.R.A.
