The Senate met according to adjournment.

[Order to consider the Report of com. on votes for Governor.]

On motion by Mr Dunlap; Ordered, that tomorrow morning at ten o'clock be assigned for the consideration of the report of the Committee on the returns of votes for Governor.

On motion by Mr Kingsbery; ordered, that when the Senate adjourn, they adjourn to tomorrow morning at ten o'clock.

On motion by Mr Kingsbery, the order authorizing the Secretary to engage an Assistant was taken up and passed, and Mr Thomas G. Jewett was appointed in pursuance of the authority given by this order -
