Resolve for the payment of accounts against the State reported by the select Committee as amended on sheet thereto annexed marked M was read a 2nd time and passed to be engrossed as thus amended - sent up for concurrence

Resolve in favor of Joel Wellington came from the Senate passed to be engrossed as taken into a new draft for concurrence and the House refuse to adopt the new draft adhere to their former vote passed the original resolve propose a Conference and appoint as conferees on their part Messrs Williams of Augusta Wellington of Albion and Jaques of Bowdoin sent up for concurrence

A message was received from the Senate informing the House that they had on their part made choice of Gen John C Humphreys to be Major General of the 4th Division of the Militia of this State in place of Gen. Richard T Dunlap resigned - and asking the concurrence of the House and tomorrow at 10 oclock was assigned as the time for coming to a choice of a maj General of said Division on the part of the House

Message from the Governor

   To the Senate and House of Representatives the resignation of Richard T Dunlap as Major General of the 4th Division of the Militia of the State having been tendered and accepted I therefore make known to the two Houses of the Legislature that there is a vacancy in the office of Major General of that Division
