Bill to prevent the filling up and obstruction of St Croix river was read 1 & 2 time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3rd reading. Bill additional to the several acts now in force respecting Workhouses & Houses of Correction & for the punishment of common drunkards came from the Senate refused a passage for concurrence - and the House reconsider their former vote in relation to this Bill & concur with the Senate. Bill - an additional act regulating elections came from the Senate adhering to their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed and proposing a conference & appointing as conferees on their part Messrs Megquier, Goodwin & Hinds - and the House adhere to their former vote accept the proposed conference & appoint as conferees on their part Messrs. Cole of Paris, Williams of Augusta & Fillebrown of Winthrop. Resolve in favor of Benjamin Dunn was read 1st time and tomorrow at 11 o'clock assigned for a 2nd reading.
