Petitions of the town of Unity to be set off from Waldo to Kennebec - of sundry inhabitants of Burnham to have said town reannexed to Kennebec (?) were severally read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns in concurrence with the Senate.

Messrs Watts of St George & Ames of Bath have leave of absence after Wednesday next, each, during the remainder of the session.

Message from the Governor.

To the Senate & House of Representatives I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a joint resolution of the Senate & House of Representatives of the State of Alabama, relative to a proposition for the emancipation of slaves, and to a resolution of the Legislature of New Jersey recommending a system of foreign colonization, which I have been requested by the Governor of the former State, to lay before you.
