Ordered that the House meet at nine oclock in the forenoon until otherwise ordered. - read & passed.

Bill - revoking the charter of the Kennebec Bank was laid upon the table by the conferees on the part of the House on this Bill together with their report - and the House adopted said report and passed the Bill to be engrossed as amended in accordance with the report of said Conferees. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to save costs in the collection of debts, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock was assigned for a 3rd reading & 200 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members.

Reports on the petitions of William F Gilmore & others - of Jacob Bigelow in behalf of the Masstts (?) Medical Society - of sundry inhabitants of China, Sidney, Palermo & Vassalboro referring the same to the next Legislature, was read & accepted concurrence with the Senate.

Report on the Governors Message so far as relates to the Massachusetts claim, that it is unnecessary to take any further order thereon, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.


Report of the committee on the order instructing them to report forms for carrying into effect an act additional to an act for the relief of poor debtors, requesting to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject, was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - ceding to the United States the jurisdiction of certain lands near the mouth of Piscataqua River, came from the Senate amended for concurrence - and the House so far receded from their vote as pass the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
