Bill – to incorporate an Engine Company in the town of Winthrop came from the Senate passage refused for concurrence – and the House so far reconsidered their former votes as to concur with the Senate.

Bill – additional act respecting Banks, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve fixing the place for the meeting of the Legislature of this State was called up The motion of Mr Smith to reconsider the vote of yesterday whereby the House concurred the Senate in their proposed amendments was put and decided by yeas and nays in the negative – Yeas 59 Nays 65 – and then the Resolve was passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve authorizing the Governor to commission William French to solemnize marriages among the Indians of the Penobscot tribe, laid on the table by Mr Pillsbury, was referred to Messrs Pillsbury of Eastport, Smith of Nobleboro’ & Ames of Bath.

Bill – an act additional to an act entitled An act to regulate the inspection of Beef and Pork intended to be exported from this State, came from the Senate passage refused for concurrence & the House so far receded from their former votes as to concur with the Senate.

Resolve providing compensation for certain officers of the Legislature was read a second time, amended as on sheet annexed marked A and passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill – altering the Militia system of this State, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed for concurrence, and the House receded from their former votes & concurred with the Senate.
