Petition of the Proprietors of Oldtown Bridge for aid in constructing a Bridge across the Penobscot River, was read & referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Fisk of Fayette Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their last years files, and send to this House, the petition of Aaron Fellows & others presented to a former & referred to this Legislature, praying that a certain part of the town of Chesterville be set off from said Chesterville to the town of Fayette - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence -

Petitions of Joseph Fernald of Henry Buck praying for leave to change their names were read & referred to the committee on change of names.

Petition of Jefferson Davis & als that the State would grant to Mrs Eglantine Young wife of Hanson Young deceased a lot of land which her husband while alive was entitled to by reason of having performed the settling duties agreeably to a Resolve of Massachusetts, was read & referred to the Committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Joseph Whitten & als of Bowdoin that so much of their lands as lie in the town of Lisbon may be annexed to said town of Bowdoin, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.
