Webber had one hundred and sixteen and were declared elected - The convention failing on the first ballot to elect the seventh Counci8llor it was ordered that a second ballot be taken for that purpose - The same Committee then proceeded to receive sort and count the votes for a seventh Councillor and having attended to the duty assigned them, reported the whole number given in to be one hundred and eighty three - Necessary to constitute an election ninety two - No person having the requisite number, the Committee again proceeded to receive, sort and count the votes for a seventh Councillor, and having attended to the duties assigned them, reported the whole number of votes given to be one hundred and eighty seven - necessary to constitute an election ninety four, Samuel P. Strickland had one hundred and seven and was declared elected.
