Messrs Robbins of Union Page of Readfield & Marston of Machiasport have leave of absence after today during the remainder of the session.

Resolve authorizing the Governor to commission William French to solemnize Marriages among the Indians - came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote refusing this Resolve a passage - The House recede from their former votes so far as to concur with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of James Irish, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill further prescribing the duties of Sheriffs, came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote postponing this Bill indefinitely - The House recede from their former votes & concur with the Senate

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the Bill respecting Lotteries - read & passed.

Bill - to incorporate the Schoodic River Log Company was read a 3rd time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve - providing for the establishment of Libraries, and the promotion of education, came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature - The House recede so far as to concur with the Senate & order the Resolve & Preamble to be published in the Eastern Argus for the information of the public. Sent up for concurrence.
