The committee on engrossed Bills, reported as duly engrossed. Resolve in reference to the Passamaquoddy Bank which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - additional to an act authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of the Cumberland & Oxford Canal Corporation, came from the Senate passage refused for concurrence - The House so far recede from their former votes as to concur with the Senate. -

The order directing the Pay Roll to be up until Sunday next and amended so as to include Monday next came from the Senate, that body noncurring the House in their amendment and the House adhered thereto -

Resolve respecting the Deputy Secretary of State, came from the Senate that body nonconcurring the House in their proposed amendments - The House voted to adhere thereto.

Resolve for opening & replacing the Baskahegan road came from the Senate, that body adhering to their vote passing the same to be engrossed as by them amended. The House receded from their votes & postponed the subject indefinitely. Sent up for concurrence.

Adjourned until two o clock this afternoon.

The House proceeded to appoint on their part by ballot one member of the Committee to sit in the recess to digest and report to the next Legislature a system of government for the States Prison & to revise the criminal code of this State agreeably to the provisions of a Resolve respecting the States Prison passed the present session of the Legislature - The whole number of votes given in was One hundred & nine necessary to a choice fifty nine.
