On Motion of Mr Clark of Hallowell Ordered, that the joint Committee on Roads, Bridges & Canals be instructed to inquire into expediency of repealing or modifying the remedy by civil action against towns and plantations for damages happening to persons their teams carts and carriages passing and travelling thereon from any defect in the Highways - sent up for concurrence.
