8[?] [Message from the Gov with a communication from Major Clark] The Secretary of State came in and laid upon the table a written message from the Governor covering a communication from Major Clark commanding the U.S. Garrison at Houlton Plantation. Read and with accompanying papers referred to Messrs. Cushman and Phelps with such as the House may join - concurred and Messrs. Pond of Bucksport, Carver of Vinalhaven, Baxter of Bristol were joined.

[Report on the Pet. of Tho. Cunningham & als reconsidered.] On motion by Mr. Holbrook the Senate reconsidered their vote accepting the Report on the petition of Thomas Cunningham & others and recommitted the same to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence - concurred.

[Order requesting the Governor to furnish the Report of Messrs. Thayer & Pilsbury on the State Prison] On motion by Mr. Kingsbury ordered that the Governor and Council be requested to furnish this Board with the Report of Jonathan Thayer and Timothy Pilsbury a Committee appointed by the Council to examine the State Prison.
