town Bridge - reported with sundry amendments which were adopted, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to notify John Grover of Bethel in the County of Oxford that he has this day by a convention of the Senate & House of Representatives been elected a Senator to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Nathaniel Howe and request his attendance - and the House concurred.

Resolve in favor of Nicholas Pierce, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence

The committee to whom was referred the petition of Artemas Smith & als praying that Richard T Dunlap may be removed from the office of Major General, reported that the petitioners have leave to withdraw, and assigning their reasons at much length for thus reporting - and the House accepted their report.
