Met according to adjournment.

The House reconsidered their vote of 27th assigning today at eleven o clock to come to the choice of a Major General for the fifth Division of the Militia of this State and assigned Wednesday next at eleven o clock for that purpose.

On motion of Mr Cummings of Paris, Ordered That Messrs Cummings of Paris, Kimball of Rumford & Merrill of Sidney be a committee with as Senate may join to take into consideration the sinking condition of the inhabitants of the town of Greenwood with leave &c - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to authorize the Court of Sessions in the County of Lincoln to lay out a Road across Friendship river, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve to promote the publication of a General History of this State - was read once and amended at R by inserting the words "& organized plantations" and then ordered to be laid on the table.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bill - additional to an Act to incorporate the Proprietors of Old town Bridge - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve for the assistance of the Deaf and Dumb, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.
