[Bill enacted] Mr. Page from the Committee on Engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied, viz Bill, to authorize the Court of Sessions in the County of Lincoln to lay out a road across Friendship River and the same was passed to be enacted. and also

[Bill to prevent the destruction of Pickerel in Damariscotta Pond] Mr. Hill from the Committee on Interior Fisheries on the petition of Daniel Waters & al reported Bill to prevent the destruction of Pickerel in Damariscotta pond. Read once and tomorrow 10 o'clock assigned for second reading.

[Bill to establish Damariscotta Canal] Bill repealing part of an act to establish Damariscotta Canal came up amended for concurrence and the Senate concurred.

[Order concerning the expense of Paupers] On motion by Mr. Phelps ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of passing a Law to ascertain the number condition and annual expense of Paupers in this State. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
