Message from the Governor - To the Senate & House of Representatives, I have the honor to transmit herewith a communication from the Hon. William King Commissioner of Public buildings, dated the 29th ultimo, together with the plans and estimates for the public buildings, prepared by his direction & also the proceedings of the present Council in relation to the same subject. Enoch Lincoln Council Chamber February 4 1829 Read & with the accompanying documents referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on State Lands.

A Message from the Governor, addressed to the President of the Senate, transmitting the Report of Jonathan Thayer & Timothy Pilsbury a committee to examine the State Prison, came down referred with the accompanying document to the Committee on the State Prison & Criminal Code for concurrence and the House concurred.

Bill to prevent the destruction of Alewives in Little River in the town of Perry, was read a third time, and amended as on sheet annexed marked B and passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Adams of Portland, Ordered, That the Committee on Banks & Banking be instructed to consider whether any alterations are necessary in the law, relating to the Agencies of Insurance Company incorporated without this State - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
