Petition of Abner Bagley & als praying that the act incorporating the Proprietors of the Falmouth Canal Company may be revived for certain purposes, was read & referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Levi H Pratt & als granting leave to withdraw, came down accepted in Senate for concurrence - and the House concurred.

The committee on Literature & Literary Institutions to whom were referred the returns of the Selectmen of several towns and the assessors of Plantations within the State of the number of School Districts - made a report which was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on petition of the Trustees of the Mariners Church - & Resolve for the benefit of Daniel Rose & Joel Miller also Communication of Daniel Rose to both branches on 31st ult - were severally read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the committee on the State Prison & Criminal Code.

Bill - to authorize the town of Falmouth to erect a toll Bridge across the Presumpscot River, was read twice & ordered to lie on the table

Bill - to enable certain persons to incorporate themselves as a body politic for the purpose of purchasing lands for burying Grounds was read 1st and 2d, & Tuesday next at 10 o clock assigned for a third reading

Bill - to cede to the United States a site for a pier in Saco River was read a 1st & 2nd time & Tuesday next at three o clock P.M. assigned for a third reading.
