Reports on petitions of Aaron Hobart - Samuel Weston - Joshua Hubbard - Robert Wier & al granting leave to withdraw, were read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate

Report of the committee on the Militia & Military Affairs on so much of the Governors Speech and accompanying documents as relates to the Militia, requesting to be discharged &c, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate

Bill - to incorporate the Portland Rifle Cadets, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed with an amendment. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - regulating the Sale of Salt, reported by the Committee to whom that subject was referred on 7th inst, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - making Stockholders competent Witnesses in certain cases, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr. Kent of Bangor Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire as to the expediency of amending the law relative to bail in civil actions & imprisonment on mesne process - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - repealing certain parts of the several acts now in force to organize, govern & discipline the Militia, reported with amendments which were adopted was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence
