Report of the committee on State Lands on the order of 30th of January last directing an inquiry as to the expediency of passing a law prohibiting all grants of Public lands, that legislation is inexpedient, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of Joseph B Prince, was called up & referred to the committee on Claims. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee of the Judiciary to whom was referred the petition of John Neal & others praying that a Law may be passed allowing oaths or affirmations to be administered in Courts of law without inquiry into the religious faith of the witness, reported that the prayer of said petition ought not to be granted - and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence

Bill - regulating attachments on Real Estate, was called up and recommitted to the Committee who reported the same -

Petition of Asa Clark & als of Somerset County praying for aid in the erection of a Bridge across Dead River, was read & referred to the Committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed - Bill to annex a part of the town of Surry to the town of Ellsworth which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on the petition of Amos Hills & al, was taken up & recommitted.

Mr Kidder moved a reconsideration of this morning accepting the report on the petition of Samuel Weston, & tomorrow morning at nine o clock was assigned to consider
