Bill - an additional act establishing the times of holding the Supreme Judicial Court, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - regulating the appointment of overseers of Houses of Correction, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on the Judiciary reported in a new draft Bill - an additional act providing for the government of the State Prison & for the punishment of convicts - and 300 copies were ordered to be printed for the use of the Legislature.

Bill - authorizing a Lottery for the benefit of the Dameriscotta [Damariscotta] Canal Corporation, was read a third time & re-committed to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Portland Rifle Cadets, came down re-committed to the committee on Militia & Military Affairs for concurrence. - and the House concurred.
