The petition of the Trustees of Waterville College was read and referred to the joint standing committee on Literary Institutions. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr Scammon, from the committee appointed to notify the Clergymen of Augusta and Hallowell, made a report which was read & accepted.

The Petition of Samuel Parsons and others for power and leave to sell real estate, was read and referred to the joint standing committee on the Judiciary. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Petition of Bangor Bank for increase of Capital Stock, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Banks and Banking. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr Meqquier, Ordered, that so much of the Governor's message as relates to the North Eastern Boundary of the State with the accompanying documents relating to that subject and to the abduction of citizens of Maine by the authorities of the British Provinces of New Brunswick be referred to Messrs Meqquier, Boutelle, and Emerson with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred, & Messrs Williams, O'Brien, Clifford, Gerrish, McCrate, Dummer, Steele, and Jarvis of the House are joined. -

That so much of the Governor's message, as relates to the Militia be referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Militia - That so much of the Governor's message as relates to agricultural Societies, be referred to the Joint standing committee on Agriculture.
