A communication was received from Roscoe G Greene signifying his acceptance of the office of Secretary of State. Read and sent down.

Mr Webb, from the committee to whom was recommitted the order authorizing said committee to contract with some person to do the State printing, made a second report and a motion was made by Mr Boutelle to recommit the same to the same committee with instructions to contract with J. Berry & Co. to do said printing, if they will do it, at the same price for which Todd & Holden contracted to do the same the last year: and the question, on said motion, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative as follows to wit; Yeas. Messrs Boutelle, Hunton, and Scammon, 3 Nays. Messrs Bridgham, Burnham, Davee, Dunlap, Eastman, Emerson, Gibson, Goodwin, Ingalls, Keith, Meqquier, Smith, Sweat, Talbot, Thayer, Webb, Merrill, and Groton. The report was then accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
