Mr Lithgow, Senator elect from Lincoln District, appeared, was conducted to the Governour and Council and qualified and took his seat at the Board.

The petition of the town of Cushing, in relation to a road across Friendship river and read and referred to the joint standing committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, Canals, in concurrence.

Remonstrance of the town of Trenton against the petition of John Blunt and others was read and referred to the joint standing committee on the Division of towns, in concurrence.

The petition of John Spofford and others for the incorporation of a new town was read and referred to the joint standing committee on the incorporation of towns, in concurrence.

The petition of the Selectmen of Liberty, praying for aid to finish a county road was read and referred to the joint standing committee on State roads, in concurrence.

The petition of the Selectmen of Farmington for a division of the ministerial funds in said town was read and referred to the joint standing committee on Parishes, in concurrence.

Communications were received from Allen H. Cobb, Hezekiah Prince and Samuel P. Strickland, signifying their acceptance of the office
