244 Friday March 18, 1831. [Resolve laying a tax on the several counties in this State] Resolve laying a tax on the several counties in this State, was read once and Monday next at eleven o'clock assigned for a second reading, and the same was recommitted to Messrs. Kingsbury, Dole and Megquier. [Petition referred] The petition of the assessors of the town of Cumberland, for deduction from State valuation, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the State valuation in concurrence. [Bill respecting Innholders &c] "An additional Act respecting Innholders, Retailers and Common Victuallers" was read once and Tuesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading, and the same was committed to Messrs. Hinds, Davee and Eastman. [Bill altering the time of holding C.C. Pleas in York county] An act altering the times of holding the Court of Common Pleas in the county of York came up from the House indefinitely postponed for concurrence and the Senate concurred. [Memorial of the Land Agent referred] Memorial of the Land Agent in relation to Anthony Merchant's contract for the purchase of a part of Merchant's Island, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on State Lands in concurrence.
