264 [Resolve for settlement of lands] "Resolve making provision for settling the Wild lands in this State" was taken up and passed to be engrossed as taken into a new draft. [Order] Order from the House instructing the committee on the State Valuation, to take from the valuation returns of the town of Westbrook, the property of James Meader, which has been set off from said Westbrook to Falmouth by an Act of the Legislature since the commencement of the present session, and add the same to the valuation of Falmouth. Read and passed. [Vote reconsidered] The Senate reconsider their vote indefinitely postponing a Resolve in favor of Joel Wellington and the same was laid on the table. [Order] Order from the House requesting the committee on accounts to make a report as soon as may be, read and passed in concurrence. [Report relating to the Canada Road] Mr. Sweat from the committee on State Lands, to whom was referred "Copies of papers relating to the Canada Road" made a report which was read and accepted. [Report on an order relating to mortgaged personal property] Mr. Megquier from the committee on the Judiciary reported that legislation is inexpedient on an order relating to mortgaged personal property, read and accepted. Drummond & als] Mr. Steele, from the committee on the Militia reported on the petition of William Drummond and others that the same be referred to the Governor and Council. Read and accepted.
