312 [Resolve confirming the sale of land by M.P. Norton to Wm. Emerson & others] Resolve from the House entitled "Resolve confirming the sale of land by Milford P. Norton to William Emerson, Samuel Thacher Jr., Dominicus Parker, John Williams and Ivory Jeffords" was read a first and second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence. [Bill to continue the Banking Corporations] Bill from the House entitled "An act to continue the Banking corporations therein named, and for other purposes" was read a first and second time and a motion was made by Mr. Ingalls, to amend by striking out so much of said Bill as relates to the Manufacturer's Bank at Saco and the question of so amending being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the negative as follows, to wit: [Yeas] Yeas - Messrs. Drummond, Dunlap, Fuller, Gardner, Hutchinson, Ingalls, and Steele - 7. [Nays] Nays - Messrs. Davee, Goodwin, Hall, Hutchings, Hinds, Meqguier, Pike and Sweat - 8. The question of passing said bill to be engrossed being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit: [Yeas] Yeas - Messrs. Davee, Dunlap, Goodwin, Hall, Hutchings, Hinds, Ingalls, Megquier, Pike, Steele and Sweat - 11. [Nays] Nays - Messrs. Drummond, Fuller, Gardner, and Hutchinson - 4.
