Order from the House of Representatives appointing Messrs Lake, Shed, and Sprout with such as the Senate may join, a committee to take into consideration the expediency of repealing the law or laws prohibiting the intermarriage of the citizens of this State with the aborigines, read and passed in concurrence; and Messrs Lithgow and Goodwin are joined.
On motion of Mr Groton, ordered, that the committee on Manufactures be directed to enquire whether any alteration or amendment may be made in an act entitled an act for the support and regulation of Mills passed February 8 1821, in order more effectually to enable the proprietors of separate mill seats on the same stream to improve their several privileges by erecting works to be driven by water power and keep up a sufficient head of water for moving the same. Sent down for concurrence.
