Thursday January 13. 1831

Met according to adjournment On motion of Mr. Williams of Augusta Ordered that the Senate be regulated to take from their files and send to this House the report of the Commissioners appointed to examine the several Banks in this State referred to in the Governors Message

On motion of Mr. Gibson of Denmark Ordered that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of amending an Act - To provide for the sale & distribution of ministerial & school funds passed Feby. 12th 1827

An order came from the Senate for concurrence directing the Secretary of State to call on those assessors of towns & plantations who have neglected to transmit to his office true & attested copies of the inventories & valuations from which the Assessors of said towns & plantations made their taxes for the year 1829 - & the House concurred

On motion of Mr. Folsom of Eastport Ordered that the Senate be requested to take from their files & send to this House the Petition of E. Richardson & others for a new Bridge at Eastport

Report of joint Select Committee who were directed to engage some suitable person to draft Bills & Resolves during the present session of the Legislature - that they had engaged Freeman Bradford of Portland to perform that duty - came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred
