Society in Winthrop, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the committee on State Lands to enquire into the expediency of authorizing the Land agent to sell all the State Lands in the counties of Hancock and Washington, consisting of lots and parts of townships lying south of the north line of Bingham's purchase, when he can obtain such terms as he may judge is for the interest of the State read and passed, in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of authorizing the Governour and Council to fill the vacancies occasioned by death, resignation or otherwise, in the boards of trustees of all academies in this State, which said board of trustees shall have neglected to fill for the space of two years from the time of such vacancy; read and passed, in concurrence.
