To the Senate and House of Representatives

I herewith transmit for the information of the Legislative the Report and account of the Agent to superintend and manage the sale and settlement of Public lands.

The secretary of State will also lay before you the Report of John G Deane and Edward Kavanagh appointed to ascertain the number of persons settled on the public lands North of the line running west of the Monument, the manner in which they respectively hold the same and to report all the facts which will be for the interest of the State to enable them to adopt some mode of questing the settlers in their possession
