I sent you an account which I tried to make brief; but as I have no notion that you intend to make use of it verbatim, I wrote it rather[?] freely. Facts are given, suitable for a statistical report; time[?] that belongs to the [can't read next word] are not, intentionally at least, brought in. Copies of the commander's[?] official papers I will forward if they are necessary. I hate to do it. Thank you for the Rosters.
