General

As suggested by his Excellency Gov. Washburn, I have called my officeres together, and they have unanimously made choice of Rev. Mr. Small of Bangor to be our chaplain. You will, if you please, notify him of the fact. The Situation, "all quiet on the [?]" except now & then, an "unwelcome guest" in the [?] of a [?] [illegible phrase].
