Smith and others " of Bayce McLellan and others, " of John Rice and others, " of Philip Butler and others, " of Moses Whitaker and others, " of Nathan Weston and others, " of John W. Sawtelle and others, " of Samuel Weston and others, " of Daniel Stewart junr and others and Remonstrance of Johnson Sunt and others in relation to the Boom at Brown's Island in Hallowell, were severally read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals. Sent down for concurrence.
The petition of George Shaw and others, in relation to the same subject was read and referred to the same committee, in concurrence.
The petition of certain inhabitants of Kennebec county, for aid in clearing out the Kennebec river, was read and referred to the committee on Turnpikes, Bridges, and Canals in concurrence.
A message was received from the House of Representatives, informing the Senate that the House had reconsidered their vote passing to be engrossed an act to incorporate the East Somerset agricultural Society, amended said Bill and ordered the same to be re-engrossed.
